This is another one of my healthy smoothies. It is packed with fruits, greens and milk that provide vitamins, Iron and calcium which makes this an ideal breakfast for those who don’t have time for a sit-down breakfast. Can also be had after your workout.
Any milk of your choice can be added. I use regular low-fat milk as I like the taste and it also contains a decent amount of protein and calcium. I have also made this with Almond milk. Almond milk is lower in carbohydrates than regular milk but it does not naturally contain calcium, so if you are looking to have some calcium via this smoothie be sure to read the label and buy a fortified variety.
1 cup Spinach Leaves
1 cup pear chopped
½ Banana (Large) or 1 small
½ tablespoon Honey
1 cup Milk of your choice
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. More milk can be added to acquire your desired thickness.
