Carrot Corn Pea Bean Spinach Soup

It is winter here and although it does not get cold enough to snow here in Perth, temperatures in single digits (Celsius) makes us want something warm and comforting for dinner. Citrusy Green Smoothie

Smoothies are my favourite way of ensuring that I have my daily intake of healthy fruits and veggies. I wanted to have a smoothie rich in vitamins and drinking it made me feel like I am feeding my body such goodness. The weather here down under is colder and as such it is a good time to load up with some extra vitamin c and other nutrients. Fish does cook really quick so while doing this step of … Continue reading Barramundi in Creamy Garlic sauce

Healthy Pear Spinach Smoothie

This is another one of my healthy smoothies. It is packed with fruits, greens and milk that provide vitamins, Iron and calcium which makes this an ideal breakfast for those who don’t have time for a sit-down breakfast. Can also be had after your workout. Any milk of your choice can be added. I use regular low-fat milk as I like the taste and it also contains a decent amount of protein and calcium. I have also made this with Almond milk. Almond milk is lower in carbohydrates than regular milk but it does not naturally contain calcium, so if … Continue reading Healthy Pear Spinach Smoothie
