Ever had that thought, “God, can You please sort this out soon?” I know I have. Right now, I’m in this in-between season where waiting on God feels like the biggest part of my reality. It’s definitely stretching and growing my patience. Some days, I’m steady and confident in trusting Him, and other days, I’m restless and eager to move forward into whatever’s next.
I keep getting reminded to be present and appreciate the season I’m in, but I have to admit, it’s not easy. I often find myself wanting to move on. God has been patiently nudging me over and over to not overlook the season I’m in.
Some of the things God seems to be reminding me in this season of my life (and I have to admit, I need these reminders often).
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord” (Col 3:23). The way you steward the season you are in matters.
Instead of rushing past the tension the in-between season brings, lean into it by leaning on God. Even if you struggle to see how this time is benefitting you in any way, trust that if you lean into God, He is doing a work in you for your good.
Be faithful and serve God through the season you are in. How you serve God might look a little different depending on what circumstance you are walking through, but may this be a prayer that you include in the current moment. Lord, may I not withdraw with discouragement or frustration but open my eyes to serve you in the capacity I can in my now.
Lean into prayer and committed time with God for strength in your inner being. So, you can stand firm when the enemy tries to discourage you by focusing on what is yet to come.
Remind yourself of the truth of who God is – even thought you are yet to see how God will unfold things on your other side of waiting, trust that he is working on your behalf.
Remember how God worked things out in the past—situations that seemed uncertain at the time but now, with hindsight, are crystal clear.
Lord, reveal to us what obedience looks like today. Equip us to make the most of what you have placed in our hands at this time. May we honour you in all our ways and bring you Glory. Amen.
God Bless.
Wonderful post Manu. The season of in-between is unfamiliar and waiting can be harder than expected. You are right. Leaning into God is paramount especially in the waiting.

Lovely post, friend. I feel that way I some ways, too. It’s especially hard when that in-between season feels prolonged. I appreciate the advice. I’ve found from similar past experiences that those seasons of waiting often become bittersweet times that I think about fondly. There are jewels in the making during those seasons. I pray God encourages your heart as you wait. 🙏

Thank you so much for this, Manu! I appreciate your message to recognize the seasons we are in and trust God. I was just telling someone this week, I am in an unusual season that is really teaching me to rely on God in new ways, especially since my mom passed. But God is so faithful and I am thankful for the intimacy I am developing with Him and the dependency on His Word that I am learning. God is always with us in every season and He is always teaching us more about who He is.

Unusual seasons as you say are always times that teach us to Lean on God in new ways. I can only imagine how you feel after you lost your mum. May the Lord be with you and enable you to navigate this season with grace, obedience and strength.
God bless you, Dawn

Amen 🙏 I needed this message… I’m in a waiting season too, and some days are harder than others. I’m trying to remind myself to trust God with the timing and just take one day at a time. 🙏

Amen 🙏 I’m learning that same lesson, often reminding myself to trust God even when I don’t understand His timing.

Manu, I am not good at waiting. My prayer is, Lord, equip me to make the most of what You’ve placed in my hands. Waiting on God is difficult, but when I reflect on His timing, I see it has been good for me in the past. I’m keeping you in my prayers for strength and perseverance. Peace and blessings, 🌺💕🙏🌺

Waiting well. Not the easiest to do but I love your words of wisdom, Manu. We can find peace and comfort at the reality that He is ever present no matter our current season.
Praying you feel the nearness and direction of our Lord’s love and leading, my friend.

It’s in the waiting that He changes our perspective. When the next thing comes, we are more than ready but with a different attitude than before we had to wait for Him to open the doors.

Such a good point , Valerie. Our perspective changes in the waiting and we step into the next with a different attitude.
