Equality in Christ and Forgiveness -Study on Philemon

Hi Friends,

Am sharing with you all today the latest episode of my podcast.

This episode delves into the book of Philemon. In this rich epistle by Paul, we discuss themes of Forgiveness, Reconciliation, Restoration, Intercession and Equality in Christ. The book of Philemon challenges us to live out our faith in action and not just proclaim it. The gospel should change us and our relationships; this inward reality should be evident to those around us.

Would love to hear your thoughts on this episode.

  1. Hi Manu, I enjoyed your study on Philemon. The themes are as valid today as then. We need to show forgiveness and equality to one another in our deeds and actions and help and encourage one another.
    Peace and blessings! 🌺💕🌺

  3. This was a wonderful podcast episode, Manu. You unpacked a lot of hidden lessons in this book of the Bible. And these lessons are relevant for us today. I appreciate your insight on looking at our own behaviors and hearts to see if we are holding onto anything we shouldn’t. And I especially liked your thoughts on forgiveness, because in our messy world we all face issues in different relationships. As you said, we should allow the truth and the gospel to guide us.

  4. I’d forgotten that Paul had offered to pay whatever Onesimus may have owed. Surely that benevolent action would convince Philemon to forgive his runaway slave! It will be thrilling to hear the end of their story–in person, in heaven–when we’re altogether one day!

    1. It indeed would be wonderful to hear how things went from their end. I never thought about the fact that one day we will get to know that. Love it, Nancy.
