Strength to Soar, Run and Walk

Isaiah 40-28b-31The Lord is the everlasting God,
    the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
    and his understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary
    and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary,
    and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the Lord
    will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
    they will run and not grow weary,
    they will walk and not be faint.

The above verses have stayed with me all week, fueling my trust and reliance on God. These verses speak of who God is and what He does for those who trust in Him.

Our Elohim, maker of the earth, the one who is before and beyond time, who created each one of us and everything around us is Everlasting. His power and wisdom are above and beyond anything we can comprehend. He is not limited by our circumstances, fears or anxieties. He is the source of our strength, never failing to uphold us in His hand as He pours His strength into us to face our challenge.

Nothing can overwhelm or overpower Him, the Almighty, all powerful, all knowing, supreme being is our God. When man tends to rely on the temporal things of this world, remind yourselves of the futility of doing so as everything of this world can stumble and fall unlike our God who is a firm foundation.

Those who place their trust and hope in Him, God will enable them to navigate their journey with the grace that He provides. Is it a storm that you need to soar above; may God give you the strength to soar above it like the eagle. Is it the Christian journey that you need help with to walk diligently and in obedience; don’t give up as the Lord will provide you the grace to run your race and not grow weary. Is it a challenge that you have to walk through; look to the Lord to pour His strength to take those steps through your valley and not grow faint.

Father, May the words of these verses etch into our hearts so that we look to you in all situations, trust you even when it is hard and rely on you not because everything makes sense but because of who you are. Amen.

God Bless.
