Book Announcement!

Hey All,

I have my first book published. The book is a bible study series on the book of Jeremiah. (More details below)

This all began when I started mulling over the desire to write a bible study. Procrastinated on it for quite a while. The world of publishing seemed quite unknown and that itself tended to make me sit on it. Sometime last year, I bit the bullet and started contacting publishing companies, still not sure if I should seek a publisher or go ahead with self-publishing, I must say that both of those paths seemed daunting in different ways.

Sometime last year, a Christian publisher called Ark House Publishers, showed interest in my work. In a few weeks, everything was confirmed that I was going to be going ahead with them. I was elated but soon realized that elation is not going to get my draft completed, I had better get to work because this was really happening.

It was fun to choose the cover design and write the blurb. My perfectionist self, struggled with letting go of the draft (as I never felt it was good enough). My husband gently told me that I have to come to a point where I have to decide to be done and submit it. I knew he was right, so finally submitted it.

It was a very special moment to receive an author’s print copy.

Last week was another special moment, the book is all set and is available to the world.

I want to say a special thank you to all of you readers and friends, my blogging journey has been an important aspect in giving me the confidence to write and share my work with the world. Without the encouragement and support on this platform I do not think I would ever have taken this step to get my book out there. So, thank you.
