The One I know I can Call Upon

Hi All,

Will be sharing something different today. I have been trying my hand at podcasting. Tried a bit last year, was not consistent with it as many other things ended up taking priority. But this year I hope to give it a more consistent go.

My podcast is called “The Faithfood Podcast” There is a link to the podcast on the home page of my blog and a link for today’s episode below. This year, I hope to share this journey with you all. Whenever I record an episode, I will share a post about it with a link. I am grateful to those who would like to listen in and share their thoughts.

The Psalms encompass a wide range of emotion while also demonstrating rich, deep and practical theology. When we saturate ourselves in the Psalms, they give us an emotional vocabulary to express what is in our hearts and draw us into a deeper time with the Lord. And so, this year through the podcast, we will be taking a deep dive into certain Psalms. In each episode, we will pick a Psalm and look at it in depth and let it speak, teach and connect us to the heart of our Lord.

In today’s episode, we will study Psalm 44. It entails Israel’s cry for help after suffering devastating defeat. They call upon God in distress, remembering His past faithfulness, His provision and yet find themselves feeling bereft and abandoned by Him in that moment.
