You are mine says the Lord

Feeling a bit beaten down by challenges and attacks from the enemy. God knows that there will be times when hurt, worry or fear may make us lose sight of his presence and who we are in him. May these words from Isaiah encourage and remind you of some beautiful truths.

In Isaiah 43:1-3a

“But now, this is what the Lord says—
  he who created you, Jacob,
 he who formed you, Israel:
Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.
For I am the Lord your God,
the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour.”
(emphasis mine)

If you are feeling less than because of how the world is defining you, remember that you are created and formed by God. Psalm 139:14 tells us that we are fearfully and wonderfully made by him.” It speaks of the care and attention with which God has made us. Let not the lies of Satan and the chatter of this world make you feel any less, because you are God’s precious son or daughter.

Rejoice and give praise for his love for us, he paid the price for our sins, to be free from the power of sin and bondage. You are free, forgiven and you are his. If you are struggling to stand firm in honouring God in any area of your life, know that the very same grace that he bestowed on us when he redeemed us is accessible to you, to help you overcome. Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through him who gives me strength.”

In this life, we will have trials and challenges. The words when and not if in this passage reminds us of this reality but this passage also speaks of the comforting truth that we are never alone when we walk through our trials because God is right there with us. If you are in a season of challenge, speak this truth to your heart and let it give you courage and comfort. He promises to meet you in your pain and to help you.  Isaiah 41:10 “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand”

God’s word is truth and can be trusted. He is your saviour, call upon his name and know that he hears you. You are not alone. God sees your every tear and hears your every cry (Psalm 56:8 “Record my misery; list my tears on your scroll are they not in your record?” ). He will strengthen your heart and set your feet upon solid ground.

God Bless.

  1. What a beautiful message, that illuminates God’s love for us. If we could always remember just how much God loves us, it would change everything. The struggles of this world would become so dim in comparison to how bright His love is. Thank you for this encouragement. Blessings, my friend. 🤍

    1. It sure is. I am doing well Colleen. Have felt like this year is rushing past. And with all that I have been having on my plate, want to have more of a handle on things.
      Hope you are going well with two little ones.

  4. Thanks for the beautiful reminder, Manu. God’s faithfulness to us is so comforting – that He has loved us with an “everlasting love.” I thank Him every day for the security of knowing there was never a time He didn’t love me, and there never will. ❤
