I am excited to share that I have been nominated for the Sunshine Blogger Award. As a fairly new blogger, this was not only very surprising but very encouraging and an honour.

Tina’s questions for Me:

1. What brought you to WordPress?
   

If this question means why I chose WordPress, well I found it an ideal vehicle for my blog. But if it means what brought me to start blogging, it was the desire to share with others what I am passionate about. I love digging into God’s word and writing down nuggets of wisdom that He teaches me and would feel this urge and excitement to share it with others and so decided to start blogging. And in addition, I share some recipes that we as a family love.

2. Hot dogs or Hamburgers? Or maybe you’re a vegetarian? Health foodie?

I am a Hamburger Kinda girl.

3. If you could change one thing (not necessarily about yourself) what would it be?

For people to be tolerant of each other and not be discriminating, which is crucial for a fair society and makes it possible to co-exist peacefully.

4.What is your all-time favourite memory?

My best memories always include my husband and son, but if I had to pick one it will be when my husband told me “Baby, I will not be where I am in life without you and I could not have done or do any of this without you.”

5.How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

This question made me smile. In reality woodchucks don’t chuck wood, they chuck dirt, but if the woodchuck be so inclined to chuck wood, he would chuck as much as he wanted to.

6. What are your hobbies?

I love to read and cook (not always, depends on my mood).

7. Who is your favourite author? And/or what is your favourite type of book to read.

Well this can change over time but I always enjoy reading Historical Fiction and a couple of my favourite authors are Julie Garwood and Lori Wick.

8. If you were a Politician, what issue would be top priority for you?

Affordable Housing-the upward trend on house prices further erodes people’s ability to own their own place. Everyone deserves the dignity of being able to have a roof over their heads and have that associated stability that comes along with it without feeling suffocated under unmanageable levels of debt.

9. Name three material items that you’d find difficult to live without?

My phone, my pen and my paper Bible.

10. Who is your favourite music artist and why?

This too can change over time. I love Adele, she is beautiful, funny and extremely talented and does not lean on shock value to garner attention.

11. What are your life goals and dreams?

I always find it hard to answer this sort of question as goals can be quite specific and I want to be open to what God has planned for me. But through the different stages of my life even if my priorities on what I wish to achieve changes, some things remain the same and that is to be a Christ reflective influence on those around me and to be content. I hope that answers your question.
