My son is not a big fan of rice and frowns if I say there is rice for dinner but he does NOT complain when I make this. This rice is quick to make and is an amazing accompaniment with a variety of dishes. It pairs well with Indian or Mediterranean dishes. This turmeric rice is my go-to on a weeknight especially. It is not only delicious but so easy to put together. The chicken stock adds a lovely flavour but you can use vegetable stock if that is your preference. I used Basmati rice, as we like the flavour … Continue reading Quick and Easy Turmeric Rice

We all experience doubt at some point; will I get a job, will I be healed, will this relationship be restored, will I have enough to pay all the bills, will my loved one come to Christ? Doubt is defined as a lack of confidence or an uncertainty. Lack of … Continue reading Focused or Fuzzy?

Smoothie bowls are a great healthy option for breakfast. They are easy to make and so yum. You do not want your smoothie bowl to be too thin in consistency. The frozen strawberries and bananas give a thick and creamy texture. The dates add a hint of sweetness, they were soaked in hot water for about 5 mins to soften them up and that way they blend easily. The rolled oats add thickness and help you stay fuller for longer. Strawberries are healthy and rich in vitamin C, potassium, folic acid and fibre. Chia seeds are high in vitamins, nutrients, … Continue reading Strawberry Banana Date Smoothie Bowl
1 Samuel 3:1-10 “The boy Samuel ministered before the Lord under Eli. In those days the word of the Lord was rare; there were not many visions. Samuel answered, “Here I am.” And he ran to Eli and said, “Here I am; you called me.” But Eli said, “I did not call; go back and lie down.” So, he went and lay down. Again, the Lord called, “Samuel!” … Continue reading Tune in to God

The father sees him from a distance – indicating that he watched and waited for his return … Continue reading A Father Celebrates and a Brother Grumbles
