School is on a 2-week term break here down under in Australia. So besides having a permanently hungry teenager at home, I also have to make sure his friends are fed when they come around.
Whenever I make this, his friends descend on it and it disappears so quickly, I had to pretend that it was not ready yet so I could get some pictures for this post.
This recipe is quick and easy to whip up using ingredients already in the pantry and tastes delicious. All ingredients are mixed together in 1 bowl, how easy is that!
This sweet and chewy slice is also perfect for accompanying a nice cup of tea or coffee.
The Chocolate and coconut combination take this to a whole new level of Yum. There is no need for a layer of icing as had with most chocolate coconut slices, as the addition of the condensed milk gives the slice that extra richness. So, yay! one less step to do.
This may not be for the calorie counters but definitely a perfect indulgence for a cheat day.
Ingredients
Self-rising Flour – 2 cups
Condensed milk – 395gms
Chocolate chips – 1 cup
Desiccated Coconut – 1 cup
Brown Sugar – 3/4 cup
Cocoa powder – 4 tablespoons
Butter (melted) – 200gms
Method
- Grease and line a slice pan.
- In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients together and mix well.
- Spread into the slice pan.
- Bake at 180 degrees Celsius for approximately 35 minutes or until cooked through.
- Cool in the pan and slice into squares.
Enjoy!!!!
That does look yummy!

Same here! One of my favourite film series. (Along with Ford’s other most famous film series – Star Wars.)

Not a big Star Wars fan (oops) but am a huge Marvel fan.

I enjoy a good Marvel movie. I’ve seen two of the X-Men movies, Big Hero 6, and 3 of the MCU movies (I’m in the middle of watching the MCU). Plenty of fun.
